If you are first time to use asterisk, and you hope that the VI2006 can register to asterisk, you can refer to the file.
Here we assume sip server asterisk is on the public Internet, and the VI2006 is behind the router, and two tools can help us better finish the test:
The detailed steps are:
1. please login asterisk through winscp firstly, let us create two accounts: please open the file sip.conf, and input the below content.
host=dynamic ;allow any device registers the account.
context=serverB ;John will follow the dialplan of serverB to call.
[Joe](John) ;all the settings of Joe are same as that of John.
After that, please input the command sip relaod in putty to make the setting take affect.
2. let us create the dial plan for the two sip accounts: please open the file extensions.conf.
exten => 8001, 1,dial(sip/John) ; when any extension dials 8001, the account John will ring.
exten => 8002,1,dial(sip/Joe) ;when any extension dials 8002, the account Joe will ring.
After that, please input the command dialplan reload in putty to make the setting take affect.
3. let us input the account in the VI2006: please go to voip, input related information and enable register.
If both of them succeed in registerring in sip server, you will see the word Registered in Register status.
At the same time, you can check the status of two accounts in the asterisk through putty.
If the two accounts have registerred to asterisk, John and Joe can call each other.
when John dials 8002, Joe will ring.
when Joe dials 8001, John will ring.
